The shape and construction of this bag is adapted from the traditional alms bags that monks use to carry their alms bowls during their morning procession. Lanna has modernized the design by wrapping the bag with two complentary faux silk fabrics - some are florals, some are embroidered, some are solid, and some are even quilted.
